Since its founding in 1992, the China International Battery Fair (CIBF) has traversed 35 years of remarkable growth. It is China's first battery industry brand exhibition with trademark registration protection, and has grown to become the world's largest, most professional, and most influential battery and new energy industry chain event — often referred to as the "barometer and innovation benchmark of global battery industry development."
Over three decades, CIBF has witnessed the historic leap of China's battery industry from "follower" to "leader." From the inaugural edition with just 56 exhibitors and 1,350 square meters of exhibition space, it has grown to the 2026 edition's 280,000 m² of exhibition area, 3,200+ global exhibitors, and 400,000+ professional visitors, covering over 90 countries and regions worldwide.
Global industry leaders including CATL, BYD, Gotion High-Tech, and Sunwoda consistently participate, choosing CIBF as their platform for annual core technology launches and global strategic deployment.
CIBF2027 is scheduled for May 12–14, 2027 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. The exhibition area will exceed 300,000 m², with 14 themed halls activated. It is expected to gather 3,500+ high-quality global exhibitors and attract 450,000+ domestic and international professional visitors — setting new records in scale.
Coinciding with the acceleration of global energy transition and the deepening year of China's "15th Five-Year Plan," CIBF2027 is closely aligned with three core industry trends: the mass production year of solid-state batteries, the large-scale explosion of energy storage, and the commercialization of hydrogen energy.
The exhibition will present the complete industry ecosystem — from lithium resource development, base materials, intelligent manufacturing, cell/Pack production, energy storage systems, charging/swapping infrastructure, to recycling — creating a global frontier technology launch hub, a full industry chain precision matchmaking platform, and a cross-domain innovation coordination center.
Key technologies on display will include sulfide-based all-solid-state batteries, sodium-ion batteries, long-duration energy storage, flow batteries, hydrogen fuel cells, and other next-generation core technological achievements — helping enterprises seize the commanding heights of global new energy industry competition.
